Bk97 is Berkelium

Named after Berkeley, California, where it was first discovered/synthesized and by analogy with Tertium.  Berkelium is a radioactive metallic, initially produced by bombarding americium with high energy alpha particles.

The painting features blue and orange complements in both acrylic and colored pencil.
