Sn50 is Tin

The Romans called tin stannum and tin mines in the British Isles stanneries--hence the Sn symbol.  Tin is thought to be the reason for interest in what was otherwise considered a barbaric area.  Tin has interesting social history--e.g., tin added to copper made better weapons; tin freezes at low temperatures, so organ pipes, bells and buttons made of tin malfunction in extreme cold.

This cheery, light-hearted rendition of Sn50 does not reflect its eventful history.
